Installing and Using the Knowledge Base Chatbot (KB Kevin)

KB Kevin is an internal chatbot designed to integrate with Teams so you can easily search the internal and external Cloud, Portal, and Starlab knowledge bases for answers to common questions. This guide will walk you through how to install and and use KB Kevin.

1. Select or copy and paste the KB Kevin link into your browser of choice.

2.  In the KB Kevin pop-up window select "Add."

3. Once loaded, KB Kevin will appear in your Team's Chats list.

4. For quick reference, add KB Kevin to your Favorite chats! To do this, select the three dots next to Kevin above. Then select Move To --> Favorites.

1. Enter a question into the Teams chat to begin querying KB Kevin.

2. Select the relevant Knowledge Base to search.

Note: When searching the external knowledge bases, KB Kevin will also review the internal knowledge base for relevant information. So if you're not sure where an article is, it will help guide you to the correct place!

3. KB Kevin will search and return a response, with the appropriate articles linked for easy reference.

Note: If sharing the linked articles with a client, be sure that they come from an external knowledge base. Do not share internal articles with clients, as they will be unable to access!

4. When you have received your answer, give KB Kevin a quick thumbs up/down so we can track how well he is answering your questions!
