How to Create a Prospecting/Target Lead

Follow this process when identifying and qualifying potential customers who have shown initial interest or align with our ideal customer profile. Creating a prospecting lead identifies the contact as a target and allows us to begin nurturing the relationship before converting them into a formal sales opportunity.

2. Enter all required data

  • Topic = Description of Lead
  • Company
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Job Title
  • Email
  • Lead Source = Rep Prospecting - Target (likely)
  • Business Unit
  • State

 

  • Existing Account for Lead
  • Existing Contact for Lead
  • Discipline
  • Primary Interest
  • Account Segment
  • Job Role
  • Buyer Role

 

4. Save the lead

5. Manage the lead and update the Status through the Business Process flow as you engage with the lead.

6. This lead will now show up in your My Open Prospecting Leads view.
