To access a course in the SI Lab Portal, students must either purchase a kit or input a kit code. Upon completing the purchase or kit code input, the student will receive a license for the content in their course and the course will unlock, allowing them to proceed with their lab work.
To determine if a students' course is unlocked, you will need to confirm they have a license for the course. This article will walk you through the process to view whether a course is unlocked.
1. From the System Homepage, perform a search for the student of interest.
For step-by-step instructions on how to perform a user search, review How to Search for an SI Portal User.
3. Scroll down to view the students' class list and licenses.
The "Classes [Student Name] Is Taking" section will show all active courses a student is enrolled in.
The Licenses section will display any licenses a student has, as well as the expiration date. Students should have one active license for each course they are enrolled in.
If a student is enrolled in a course but has no licenses listed, this indicates they have not yet made a kit purchase/input an access code. To access their course materials, students will need to make a purchase or input a code.
