Primary Cause of the Error

  • Instructor has integrated the institutional master course and is attempting to enroll students into it.

The institutional master course is designed to be integrated into a master course shell at an institution, but should not have students enrolled into it. Enrolling students into this course will block the students ability to purchase a kit.

How to Identify the Error

  • Generally the name of the course will help identify if this is an error. Institutional master courses are named with the same pattern every time: Institution ID, Institution Name, SKU. If the course experiencing the error follows this naming convention, then they have likely integrated the wrong course.

Resolving Primary Cause of the Error

  • The instructor will either need to 1) create a child course or 2) update the links to use the "Fall 2025" course created by the curriculum team.

Other Possible Causes of this Error

If the correct course has been integrated, there are several other reasons this error could be occurring. This includes:

  • Incorrect SKU #
  • Incorrect Institution ID #
  • Course reference not yet created in purchasing platform

In this case, please reach out to curriculum/systems teams to review the course.

What to Include in your Ticket

Please submit a ticket with the following information:

  • School
  • SKU
  • Course Name
  • Screenshot of the course is helpful

The course will be reviewed to determine whether the issue is related to the master course, SKU #, or institutional ID # and then sent to the systems team to resolve the issue.
