How to Set Up Items for Shopping Cart

1. To see if the Item already exists, select "Items" on the dashboard.

2. Type the SKU in the search bar on the top right-hand side.

3. If the item exists, continue on to step 4. If the item does not exist, select "+Add Item."

3.1. Enter the SKU of the item in the box and then select "Save" on the top right-hand side.

5. Find the institution the item is intended for with the search tool on the top right-hand side.

Use the search bar and type the full name of the institution to ensure you have the correct one. If the institution doesn't exist in Cloud, see these instructions to create it.

6. Select "Edit Institution."

7. Ensure that "Enable Purchases" is checked at the bottom of the page, then select "Save" on the top right-hand side of the page.

8. In the institution page, there will be an Item section under the course list. Select "+Add an Item" on the right-hand side.

9. Enter all information from the request.

The "Instructor Name" section is not required unlike in a Course creation page, though feel free to use it if provided. "Open Date" is today's date.

10. Select "Save."

11. Find the Item in the Items list and provide the Purchasing URL to the sales representative.

Note that newly created items are synced with NAV overnight. If an item was newly created, make sure to communicate that with the sales rep so they do not provide the URL to clients until the next business day to avoid errors.
