How to Unlock / Reopen a Student Lesson

Updated on

Once a student has completed and submitted a lesson, they are unable to go back in and change their work or edit their answers. However, Customer Service representatives can reopen completed lessons for students when necessary, allowing them to adjust answers and resubmit the lesson when needed. It is important to always reach out to the instructor for approval when asked to do this by a student.

Note that CSRs and Instructors have the ability to unlock lessons. You can send Instructors the instructions found in the Instructor Knowledgebase.

If the student needs sections unlocked for an uncompleted lesson, see “How to Unlock the Experimentation and Evaluation Sections in a Student Lesson.”

After a student has submitted the lesson, unlocking it will allow the student to change their experiment answers and data tables. No other sections can be modified immediately after this button is pressed. After pressing this button, CSRs will have the option to "Reset Evaluation." Resetting the evaluation will allow the student to re-do and resubmit the evaluation section as well.
