SI Cloud Instance Request Policy

Updated on

This document describes the process and policies for requesting and creating instances in SI Cloud. This process includes the DAS/DAP, Engineering, Implementation and Curriculum teams.

Process

  1. DAS/DAP receives a signed adoption agreement from a client and submits a New Adoption or SKU Change form.
  2. BOM Engineer exports the kit from Experlogix to BC and CRM, then requests a BOM check from Curriculum
  3. Curriculum completes a BOM check/QC and creates the master course.
  4. Curriculum notifies the BOM engineer of any required changes to the BOM and confirms creation of the master course.
  5. BOM Engineer sends release email to everyone involved in the process. The kit is now released.
  6. DAS/DAP submits a completed Instance Request form for an implementation specialist to complete.
  7. Implementation specialist creates the institution, instructor, and instance in Cloud.
  8. Implementation specialist responds to the DAS/DAP with instance information.
  9. DAS/DAP sends URL and temporary password to instructor.

Policies

  • Instance requests may be submitted prior to kit release. However, instances will not be created until the kit has been officially released via email by the BOM engineer.
  • Implementation specialists strive to complete instance requests within one business day of receiving a complete and accurate IR form.
  • Instance Requests must be filled out using the appropriate form.
