1. Open the lab audit worksheet.
A link to the lab audit worksheet will be emailed to you. Save this file with the name of the lab you have selected. You will track and document the lab audit here, and return this to the curriculum team once the audit is complete.
2. Log in to the SI Cloud demo account.
Some steps of the audit will require you to check the original lab in the SI Cloud. You can log into the demo account with the following credentials:

3. Navigate and log in to the SI Lab Portal.
Log-in emails for test students will be emailed to you. All passwords will be Science101!
5. Select the lab you wish to review.
All labs are listed on the right hand side of the page under "Units." Scroll down or use CTRL-F to find the lab you are assigned to review.
6. Verify the exploration and experimentation/evaluation sections are named correctly.
Each lab has two sections: the first contains the exploration content, the second contains the Experimentation + Evaluation content. Check the lab you are reviewing to ensure the sections are titled as follows:
- Lab Name: Exploration
- Lab Name: Experimentation Evaluation
If the titles are named incorrectly, or if the sections appear out of order (experimentation is first), note this on your audit worksheet.

7. Select the Exploration section of the lab.
Upon selecting the lab you wish to review, you should land on a policies page. If the policies page does not appear, document this on the audit worksheet.
When complete, select "Start" in the lower right-hand corner.

8. Review the Exploration Overview page.
On the exploration overview page, check that the following items are present.
- Cover Image with correct lab title
- Time Allocation for all three sections of the lab
- Learning Objectives
Document any missing items on the audit worksheet.

9. Review and test the Test Your Knowledge questions.
The Test Your Knowledge questions appear after the the Exploration Overview page. Each TYK question appears on its own page, and will appear on the left-hand navigation pane.
For the audit, first check that the TYK questions are present and are presented in numerical order in the left-hand navigation bar.
Next, answer each TYK question. Don't worry about getting them right or wrong! You want to check that you are able to:
- Input an answer (make sure we didn't leave off a question input!).
- Submit using the "How Did I Do?" button (see first image below).
- View your results (green = correct, red = incorrect) and the correct answer by hovering over the page (see second image below).

10. Check that all content pages are present in lesson.
Navigate to the lesson you are reviewing in the SI Cloud if you have not already. Then, check that all exploration pages present in the SI Cloud are present in portal.

Note: All lessons in SI Cloud include a page called "Review Your Answers." This page will NOT appear in the SI Portal content. Check only pages between the Exploration Overview and Review Your Answers.
11. Review the Exploration content.
You do not need to read through all of the exploration content, but there are a few key items to check.

Check that images:
- Are displaying correctly and not appearing as a broken link
- Are centered on the page
- Have a caption presented directly below it
- That the image captions are numbered consecutively
Interactives and Videos
Check that interactives and videos:
- Are present on the page and not displaying as a broken link
- Are centered on the page
Equations
Check that equations are:
- Present and not displaying as broken links
- Centered on the page
Links
Check that links:
- Are formatted in bold and underlined to draw students attention
- Are not broken when selected
- Open in a new window when selected.
12. Review and test the Question Time questions.
Question Time questions are at the end of a content page. Not all content pages include question time questions!
For the audit, first check that the Question Time title appears only before the first question on a page.
Then, we want you to answer these questions. Don't worry about getting them right or wrong! You want to check that you are able to:
- Input an answer.
- Submit using the "How Did I Do?" button.
- View your results (green = correct, red = incorrect) and the correct answer by hovering over the page.

13. Complete the Exploration section.
To complete your review of the exploration section, check that there is no "Experimentation" section in the left-hand navigation pane. Then, select the "Submit" button to make sure the lab submits successfully.

14. Enter the Exploration + Evaluation section.
Upon selecting the exploration section, you should encounter a policies page similar to the Exploration section. If the policies page does not appear, document this on the audit worksheet.
When complete, select "Start" in the lower right-hand corner.

15. Review the Experimentation Overview page.
On the experimentation overview page, check that the following items are present.
- Cover Image with correct lab title
- Time Allocation for all three sections of the lab
- Learning Objectives
Document any missing items on the audit worksheet.

16. Review the materials page.
For the materials page review, you will want to navigate to the materials page for the lab in Cloud and in the SI portal. Check that:
- The materials page is present
- The materials page contains an SI- and Student-supplied items section
- The materials list in Portal matches the materials list in Cloud

Note: The materials page should include both SI and student supplied materials sections, even if there are no items listed (e.g., a digital lab will have no SI-supplied items).
17. Review the Experiment pages content.
Each lab includes one or more experiments. When performing the audit, if errors are found, please be sure to note which experiment the error occurred.
For the experiment pages, please have the SI Cloud open.

You will want to audit the following:
Content
- Exercise title is present, but not numbered (e.g., title should be "Fetal Pig Dissection" NOT "Exercise 1: Fetal Pig Dissection"
- The number of steps in the procedure matches the number of steps in the SI Cloud
- All experiment steps are ordered numerically
Images:
Check that images:
- Are displaying correctly and not appearing as a broken link
- Are centered on the page
- Have a caption presented directly below it
- That the image captions are numbered consecutively
Interactive Labs (Embedded) and Videos
Check that interactive labs and videos:
- Are present on the page and not displaying as a broken link
- Are centered on the page

18. Review the data inputs and long-answer questions.
At the end of each experiment will include long answer questions and data inputs.

We want to test all of the following:
- Image/Graph Uploads: Check that the native image upload format is present (upload button).
- Data Tables: Check that you can input data into each cell that has a textbox. You can type in nonsense.
- Data Panels and Long Answer Questions: Check that the essay input is present.
19. Check that the Evaluation Overview page is present.
This page includes a header and a reminder that students should check their work before proceeding. Make sure this is present.

20. Review the evaluation questions.
The home stretch! We want you to answer the evaluation questions. These are all multiple choice except for the final question.

For the multiple choice questions, check that you are able to:
- Input an answer.
- Select the next button.
For the long answer question, check that you can input text into the text box.
21. Check that you can submit the Experimentation/Evaluation section and view your results.
When you're done, select the submit button to submit the assignment.
Check that the "View Details" button appears once you have completed the lesson and that you can see your results.

22. Notify curriculum team when lab is complete.
Add audit document to the curriculum drive and flag the curriculum team that it is ready for review.
