Before submitting a quote for a custom SKU, first determine whether or not a similar SKU (standard or previously-created custom) already exists or is similar enough to avoid creating a brand-new custom SKU.
1. Reference the list of labs the prospective client is interested in.
This list can be provided in numerous ways:
- Course Builder on the SI Website
- Direct email
- Submitted syllabus and lab alignment through the CD Ticketing System
3. Find the labs by clicking through the organized dropdowns.
The organization structure is Brand > Discipline > Lesson.
5. After selecting your lessons, scroll to the bottom of the page to see the lesson list and select "Search".
You can select the "X" next to the lesson name to remove it from the list, or select "Clear" to remove all lessons and start over.
The search will tell you if there is already a SKU that uses this exact list of lessons, if there is no such matching SKU, or if there is a SKU that exists that is within three (3) lessons of being identical.
6. Depending on the results of the search, proceed as follows:
- If there is an exact match, use that existing SKU for the client.
- If there is no match found, submit the list for a custom quote as normal.
- If there is a match that is not exact but within the 3-lesson tolerance, contact the client to see if that lesson list would be suitable. If it is not, then submit the list for a custom quote as normal.
