In quoting a campus kit opportunity, the customer may want a quote for the same labs but for the kit to only include consumable items and no durable items that would be left over from the first semester. Follow this process in a NEW opportunity to create the quote for the consumables only version of the kit.
1. In the open opportunity, select the "Quotes" tab"
2. Complete any applicable fields in the quote header.
This includes Quote Type, Name, Target Price, and Product SKU.
Select the Product SKU from the SKU Assignment Spreadsheet. Use this article for instructions on selecting the right SKU
3. Save your quote
4. Select "Configure" in the quote navigation bar to launch Experlogix
5. After Experlogix loads, select the X to close the licensing error
6. In the Home tab, select all applicable filters for the experiments that will be quoted
These filters will narrow the experiment selection in the subject categories but can also be filtered on each individual subject page.
7. Select the applicable subject category on the left-hand side
Nursing, Pharm Tech, Forensics, and Physics are the only discisplines set up currently to have Consumables options in Experlogix.
This option can be combined with the other filters on the Home page but it cannot be combined with any lessons selected through the Discipline filters.
7.1. On the homepage, select "All"
7.2. Select "All Experiments"
7.3. Select "Add Experiment"
7.4. Use the Search, Sort, and Filter options to choose the appropriate experiments
8. Select "+ Add Experiment"
9. Use the search, sort, and filter functions to choose the appropriate experiments
The Consumables labs all start with 'Consumable' in the description
If you receive an alignment form the curriculum team with an experiment beginning with 42-, the correct experiment in Experlogix will be the same number except beginning instead with 30-.
10. Once all experiments are selected, select "Save"
11. Navigate to the Related Parts tab to see all added materials and, if approved, add any supporting materials
12. Navigate to the "Totals" tab to review the cost calculation and adjust the price using the margin slider
13. When the price is finalized, select "Save And Close"
14. The "Quote Price", "Margin %", and "Effective from" date will copy back to the CRM quote header
The quoted items and the quoted experiments will also copy back to the CRM quote.
15. Once the quote has been accepted, select "Activate Quote" to push the quote to Business Central for creation of the SKU, item card, and bill of materials.
